Leaf Removal

Our parks are as beautiful as they are because of the abundance of trees located in the parks. Many of these trees drop their leaves each fall and hundreds of yards of leaves are removed from parks each year.  Help us rake and remove these leaves!

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

You will help to maintain and care for parks in Clark County by raking and removing leaves from the various parks. 

You will also need to track and regularly submit your volunteer hours to the Volunteer Program Coordinator. 

Qualifications:

Location: All parks, trails and open spaces


Time Commitment:
Flexible date and time that works best for the volunteers. Typically 2-4 hour shifts


Experience required: None required

Minimum age: Any age welcome, age 13 and under with a guardian. If you are under the age of 18 you will need to fill out a Minor Consent Form which can be obtained through the Volunteer Program Coordinator or on-line.


Application required: Yes, unless volunteering at a pre-planned group event


Background check required:
Yes, unless volunteering at a pre-planned group event

Benefits:

This is great opportunity to get outside, reconnect with nature, and make an impact in our parks.  Participating in leaf removal as part of a group is also a great way to socialize while enhancing our community.
