Become a PARK GREETER

Volunteer Park Greeters play vital role for Clark County parks.  Park Greeters are a part of a team that works together to maintain our parks keep these valuable areas available to the public.  In many cases, Park Greeters are the first contact that public have in Clark County regional parks. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

You would provide customer service to park patrons, assisting in the cleaning and upkeep of park facilities, and promoting safe and responsible use of Clark County parks.  Interaction with park patrons includes, but is not limited to, park shelter check-in, fire and firewood information, educating about park rules, and announcing closing times.  You will be working closely with Clark County Parks and Grounds staff and other Park Greeters to ensure a continuity of operations – being a team player is essential.

 

As a Park Greeter your duties may require extended periods in the outdoors during adverse conditions such as heat, cold, or rain.

 

You will also need to track and regularly submit your volunteer hours to the Volunteer Program Coordinator.  Lewisville Regional Park

 

Qualifications:

Time Commitment:

A minimum of 4 regularly scheduled hours each weekend (Friday – Sunday, and Holidays) for 4 months during April 15th through October 15th.  You would choose one of the following time slots:

 

Location: Various regional parks to be determined by volunteer coordinator.

 

Minimum Age: You must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Background check required: Yes
